About Aleister Crowley 2012

About Aleister Crowley 2012 Cover Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

We realize that Aleister Crowley is dead. And British. And, moreover, not running for office. Nevertheless, we believe that the most effective vote you can cast in 2012 is one for Aleister Crowley.

“The absolute rule of the state shall be a function of the absolute liberty of each individual will.”

Considering staying home and not voting? You’ll be in the vast, silent, ignored majority. Until now, the only other way for voters to express their dissatisfaction was to vote for Mickey Mouse. We applaud this effort, but Mickey Mouse is a meaningless choice which does no more than express dissatisfaction — voting for Mickey fails to send a positive message about what Americans and all people truly want: Liberty.

We do not endorse every political opinion Crowley ever put forward, nor do we suggest that the U.S. should necessarily adopt them. Rather, we call attention to his central message of liberty, the Law of Thelema, as defined in Liber AL vel Legis: The Book of the Law. This can be summarized exquisitely in two verses from this text: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,” and “Love is the law, love under will.” It is this message which we hope someday may inform all politics, and we hope that this message will be heard everywhere. More about Thelema.

If 1% of voters write in “Aleister Crowley,” then his message of Liberty will be heard around the world, as amazed media report a groundswell of support for someone they thought was not only dead and British, but still the wickedest man in the world.

Even if you don’t live in the U.S., or if you don’t actually plan to write in Crowley, that is no reason not to promote this campaign! At the very least, it is a great conversation starter, and in any case you will be helping to spread Crowley’s fundamental message of freedom, and his declaration of the sovereignty of the individual.

Still not sure? Check out the Top Ten reasons to support Aleister Crowley in 2012.

Still not sure? That’s OK! There’s no commitment necessary. Don’t even vote for Aleister Crowley in 2012 if you don’t want to! The campaign is still fun to support and provides and interesting way to discuss the philosophy and religion of Thelema.

We suggest that you write yourself in as Crowley’s running mate! “Anyone who wants to say anything, off with his head, and On with the Dance; let Joy be unconfined, You at the prow and Therion at the helm! Off we go.”

Aleister Crowley Was An International Mason

Aleister Crowley Was An International Mason Cover Crowley was truly an international Mason. He received his 33° in Mexico City and spoke of participating in Masonic rituals in the United States and also was involved in other rites of Freemasonry. Not only was Crowley a 33° Grand Inspector General of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, but he was also involved in other rites of Freemasonry that went even deeper into the occult. The Rite of Memphis contained Masonic rituals with a definite Egyptian flavor.

By the end of 1910, thanks to my relations with the Grand Hierophant 97° of the Rite of Memphis (a post held after his death by Dr. Gerard Encausse ['Papus'], Theodor Reuss ['Merlin'], and myself), I was now a sort of universal inspector-general of the various rites, charged with the secret mission of reporting on the possibility of reconstructing the entire edifice, which was universally recognized by all its more intelligent members as threatened with the gravest danger.

Even for a man like Crowley who was obsessed with the occult, the rituals of Freemasonry provided a profound occult thrill.

I supposed myself to have reached the summit of success when I restored the Secret Word of the Royal Arch. In this case, tradition had preserved the Word almost intact.

Were Aleister Crowley and his followers or perhaps a similar group capable of performing acts and rituals that are comparable to what are described by satanic ritual abuse survivors. The following quotes are from a book entitled, Secrets of the German Sex Magicians. This book talks about the ritual use of pain and attributes to Crowley the most perverted of practices such as bestiality and the ritual consumption of body fluids.

The ritual use of pain and agony as an access mode to trance and magical power does have its limits, though. For one thing, physical pain tends to dull the senses in the long run, so that stimuli have to be increased incessantly. This may quite easily lead to grave bodily harm, not to mention the fact that it can become downright addictive and lead to a kindled frenzy not very easily mastered.

Crowley, in fact, trod in his practice a path similar to that of the more materialistic authorities. Although he positively encouraged ejaculatory orgasm in his sex magic, he always made a point of consuming what he called the "elixir" afterwards. He understood this elixir to be the mixture of the sexual fluids of both partners or, in the masturbatory act, as just the semen. He entered very carefully in his the magical diaries a description of the elixir's consistency and taste, and he even recorded the prophecies which he deduced from these data.

And Crowley's practices go on to be even more disgusting.

Coprophagia, which means consumption of excrement, here also includes consumption of other secretions such as urine and sweat. It was ritually practiced from early times on the sympathetic-magic principle that the secretions of any entity contain part of its magis. Crowley, for example, occasionally offered his disciples in Cefalu the excretement of a goat. This frequently met with no small disapproval!

Crowley performed a similar ritual in his Sicilian Abbey of Thelema, during which his Scarlet Woman was to be mounted by a goat which would be beheaded during the climax.

There exists today a secret society that dedicates itself to carrying on the teachings of Aleister Crowley. This group is called the O.T.O.. The O.T.O. was founded earlier this century by high grade Austrian Freemason Karl Kellner and German Freemason Theodor Reuss. The O.T.O. became a major force in the occult world when Aleister Crowley became its leader.

Crowley learned ritual magic from the man who was renown as the master of his day, MacGregor Mathers. The pupil-student relationship soon turned into a bitter rivalry and resulted literally in a Black Magic war. When Mathers died in 1918 many of his friends were convinced that Crowley was responsible for his death. Mathers, also a Freemason, introduced Crowley to an occult organization called the "Golden Dawn" and helped Crowley along his dark walk on the Egyptian Masonic road.

Mathers and his wife Moina, the sister of the philosopher Henri Bergson, lived in Paris. (Mathers tried to convert Bergson to magic, but without success.) Their house was decorated as an Egyptian temple and they celebrated 'Egyptian Masses', invoking the goddess Isis. Mathers officiated in a long white robe, a metal belt engraved with the signs of the zodiac, bracelets round his wrists and ankles, and a leopard-skin slung across his shoulders. He was convinced that he was descended from the Scottish clan MacGregor and took to calling himself MacGregor Mathers, Chevalier MacGregor and Comte de Glenstrae. W. B. Yeats, whose magical name in the Golden Dawn was Daemon est Deus Inversus (The Devil is God Reversed), was a frequent visitor to the Mathers household in Paris.

Aleister Crowley Attempting The Supreme Equinox

Aleister Crowley Attempting The Supreme Equinox Cover Maybe we'll never know exactly what happened during September 1930 when Edward Alexander (a.k.a. Aleister) Crowley was visiting Lisbon and the nearby areas, in the company of Fernando Pessoa. The esoteric and occult aspects of the Portuguese poet's life are, until today, shrouded in questions to which there may not be any answers. One of these questions is connected to his friendship with this eccentric Englishman, whose fame disturbs the distinction between real and mistified facts.

Born in 1875, from a wealthy family, Aleister studied greek, latin and hebrew in Cambridge, was a chess and a whist champion, became a great hunter (it is told that he killed three lions with three great shots), climbed some vulcans in Mexico and the infamous K2 assassin mountain in the Himalayas, travelled all across the world, and was also a painter and a poet of doubtful taste. He met the great artists of the start of the century and inspired Somerset Maughan in his creation of the main character of ""The Magician"", mainly because Aleister was a great specialist in black magic, a summoner of spirits, a satanic cultist, and, judging from what is known of him, a member of almost all of the secret societies - Golden Dawn, Masonry, Rosenkraut and The Templars. His rituals used sex and drugs in order to achieve the so-called Astral Plane. He was accused of driving his followers mad, particularly the women, of whom he had a very weak opinion. According to the legends surrounding him, he was immune to poisons and his curses often worked. He was considered ""Persona non grata"" in France and Italy, and was very different from the peaceful and insightful Fernando Pessoa. It is known that they traded correspondence for some time but, there is not any sound evidence that explains his visit to Portugal.

Still, the fact remains that he was in Sintra (near Lisbon) accompanied with a woman, and found it a gorgeous village, and he strolled and bathed in Estoril beach. His young female escort however, left him for no apparent reason and without any warning. To annoy her, Aleister planned a false suicide - he disappeared mysteriously leaving a suicide letter in the crags of Boca do Inferno (""Hell's Mouth"" - a feared ravine that leads to the Sea between Sintra and Estoril, near Lisbon). During some time, the local Newspapers mentioned the subject and there was some police investigation. It was known, some time later, that the farce was created with the precious help of Fernando Pessoa, who presented the case as a homicide: some fanatic catholic would have pushed the devilish figure literally into Hell's Mouth (Boca do Inferno). Privatelly, the Portuguese poet would confess that he was still corresponding with the mage, but in public, he would maintain the original disappearance version.

It is possible that Crowley had come to Sintra in order to perform some ritual, which, after his female partner ran away, could not be terminated. Another possibility is an international police man hunt - apart from his infamous behaviour, he was also known for not paying his expenses at hotels and what's worse, some years before he used to brag about being a counter-spy for British Intelligence during the Great War. Finally, the possibility of role-playing some kind of magic/crime fiction, in order to shake the ever sleepy Lisbon society, appealed to both Crowley and Pessoa. Pessoa suggested the place, which was very convenient due to its spooky name and atmosphere. Crowley selected the date of his preference: 23rd of September, at 18 hours, 36 minutes - the time of the Autumn Equinox. Symbolically, just like the Sun, the mage plunged in the ocean abyss of Europe's westernmost country, in the day when darkness wins over light.

A Magick Life A Biography Of Aleister Crowley

A Magick Life A Biography Of Aleister Crowley Cover Between the two world wars, before the rise of Hitler or a proper knowledge of what Lenin and Stalin were up to in Russia, the most popular choice of the purest embodiment of evil would have been an Englishman, Aleister Crowley. To the tabloid papers he was The King Of Depravity and The Wickedest Man In The World. To the poet W. B. Yeats he was 'an unspeakable degenerate' and to the novelist Somerset Maugham, one of the most evil men he had ever met.

Today the only people likely to regard Crowley as evil incarnate are the fundamentalist Christians he so despised. Only they believe in the devil, whom Crowley purported to serve. To other people, Crowley is likely to come across as merely an eccentric and at times a buffoon. He liked to dress as a Highland chieftain, even when in London, and always travelled with the robes and regalia of a pagan priest. He registered at hotels under false names with grand titles and invented a pedigree claiming descent from the Breton nobility.

In fact, Crowley came from a long line of Croydon brewers. Both his parents were members of a fundamentalist Protestant sect, the Plymouth Brethren. The Bible was the only book Crowley was permitted to read as a child. From the age of eight he was sent to strict Evangelical boarding schools where he was bullied and beaten at his second school by 'a sexually ambiguous sadomasochist' headmaster.

In time, the young Crowley rebelled against the bigoted atmosphere in his home. His mother began to call him 'the beast' and came to believe that her son was in fact 'the Beast of the Apocalypse, the Antichrist of the Book of Revelation'. It was an identity that the young Crowley happily accepted and it set the course for the rest of his life. He did not simply lose his Christian faith; he changed sides. His first gesture of defiance was to masturbate, a grave sin for Christians in Victorian times. He later wrote that 'I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice' and awarded himself 'a diabolical VC'.

In 1895, Crowley went up to Trinity College, Cambridge, and a year later, at the age of 21, came into a substantial inheritance left in trust by his father. His private means enabled him to indulge his lifelong passions for chess, reading, travel, mountaineering and sex. He was bisexual and misogynistic: his contempt for his mother extended to women in general. Though he was capable of romantic attachments, he saw sex as 'a degradation and damnation'.

The young Crowley wrote poetry and fiction and gained a slight reputation as a man of letters: a volume of his poetry was favourably reviewed by G.K. Chesterton in the Daily News. He was intelligent, witty and a fine conversationalist. But his literary reputation was soon eclipsed by his engagement with the occult.

While in Stockholm during a university vacation, Crowley decided to devote his life to the forces of evil: 'The forces of good were those which had constantly oppressed me. I saw them daily destroying the happiness of my fellow men. Since, therefore, it was my business to explore the spiritual world, my first step must be to get into personal communication with the devil.' In London, Crowley got in touch with the most influential of the occult societies operating in Britain at the time, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn which, like other masonic orders, claimed to possess arcane truths handed down from ancient Egypt via the Cathars, the Knights Templar and the Rosic-rucians.

Occult orders and secret societies of this kind were enormously popular in the decades leading up to the First World War a reaction, perhaps, to both the Christian zeal and the scientific determinism of the Victorian era. They also provided a fanciful justification for throwing over the traces. Forming his own order, Crowley who had by now filed his canine teeth to points staged supposed pagan rituals with his acolytes, designed to bring evil spirits into their midst. The Ten Commandments were replaced by Crowley with just one: 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.' Aided by the liberal use of narcotics, the liturgies of Crowley's invention included ritual acts of sex.

The Sunday Express, which exposed Crowley's 'obscene orgies' in 1923, considered 'the facts too unutterably filthy to be detailed in a newspaper'. In this new biography of Crowley, Martin Booth does not shy away from the grim details of Crowley's depraved sex life, both heterosexual and homosexual.

Crowley indulged in 'sexual magic rituals' supposedly directed by his guiding spirits, the Secret Chiefs at the community he founded at Cefalu in Sicily, the Abbey of Thelema. For one ritual, the Secret Chiefs told Crowley to mate a goat with one of his lovers, Leah Hirsig. Crowley was to cut the goat's throat at the moment of its orgasm, but the animal refused to co-operate and so was strangled.

Until he was brought down by his addiction to drugs, Crowley's sexual energy was phenomenal. Besides his lovers of both sexes, Crowley slept with Arab boys in Algeria and prostitutes in every city he passed through. Even when bald and fat and with breath that 'reeked so strongly of ether it was said that you could smell him before he entered the room', women succumbed to his advances.

'They would live with him, cosset him, offer themselves to him,' Booth tells us, 'bear his children...succour him and give him money', only to be abandoned by him without compunction, often stranded in destitution abroad. Towards the end of his life, Crowley ran out of money. He was declared bankrupt and had to scrounge a living from occasional journalism and handouts from his devotees. He remained addicted to heroin and he died in a boarding house in Hastings among, as he put it, 'the most appalling crowd of alleged human beings that have ever been got together in one place'.

Was Crowley evil or no more than eccentric? What are we to make of him today? Booth seems undecided: A magick Life is filled with detail but it has no clear point of view. Booth does not commit himself on Crowley's claims to magical powers (for example, his ability to make himself invisible in a crowd), or on the reality of the spiritual apparitions or the Secret Chiefs. Booth does think some of Crowley's poetry is worthy of respect, and he finds his writing on drugs prophetic.

He regards Crowley's Diary Of A Drug Fiend as a forerunner of works such as William Burroughs's Junkie and Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting; and he describes Crowley's The Psychology Of Hashish as 'a seminal document on the subject until well into the Sixties'.

Crowley was, Booth suggests, prophet of the sex-and-drug culture of the Sixties: his face appears on the album cover of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Crowley memorabilia are collected by celebrated rock musicians.

More significantly, to my mind, the American sexologist Alfred Kinsey visited the deserted Abbey of Thelema in Sicily in 1955, an acknowledgement, perhaps, of Crowley as father of the permissive society.

Crowley taught that 'each individual has an absolute right to satisfy his sexual instinct as is physiologically proper to him'. There can be little doubt that this philosophy, stripped of its cabalistic mumbo-jumbo, is alive and well in Britain today.

A Man We Would Like To Hang

A Man We Would Like To Hang Cover John Bull. 16th May 1923.
JOHN BULL
A MAN WE’D LIKE TO HANG.

The infamous Aleister Crowley, who has been expelled from Italy, proposes to return to this country. He is not wanted here. We do not want a man of his record on British soil. Apart from anything else, he is a beast whose disloyalty is only exceeded by his impudence.

The Italian police, who have been kept informed of our revelations concerning Aleister Crowley, the debased and blasphemous person who both preaches and practises corruption, have taken the appropriate action. They have ordered him peremptorily to leave their country within seven days, never to return. So far, so good. It is at least a tribute to public decency that this man should be bundled unceremoniously out of his Abbey at Cefalu, where he practised his horrible rites and perverted his victims. But clearly what is required is concerted international police action. Otherwise Crowley will simply transfer his malevolent activities elsewhere; and continue to find fresh followers. At present his intention after a short stay in Paris, where he is at the moment, is to come to London. This must not be allowed.
He has written to his agent in London, the notorious Jane Wolff, to outline this programme. Jane Wolff has not been surprised at the expulsion of the "Master" from Italy. Crowley had to leave America with almost equal precipitancy, when the police of the United States were on his track some time ago.
Probably Crowley expected such a development himself. Hence his recent visit to England. He was not able to complete his arrangements, however, owing to the publicity given to him in our columns, and he returned hurriedly to Sicily. Jane Wolff in the meantime is taking a holiday in this country, and proposes to go for a tour of the Surrey Hills, and after that to make a journey through the West of England. She declares that the police cannot touch her, although she was much annoyed at their activity after our article describing the interview with her by our Special Commissioner, whose identity she was at the time unaware. Detectives called at the address in Russell Square, W.C; given in that article, and as a consequence, the landlady made it clear to Jane Wolff that her presence was undesirable, and requested her to go at the earliest possible moment.
Crowley himself is much more wary. But even he does not make any secret of his identity and character. When he went to Sicily he changed his name from Aleister Crowley to Alestor de Kerval. He took with him, in addition to Jane Wolff, another woman who is the mother of his two children, and who calls herself Countess Lea Harcourt. They opened a joint bank account at the Benea de Sicilia, with a deposit of some thousands of francs in bonds; and all cheques drawn were to be signed by both , Alestor de Kerval, Knight of the Sacred Lance, and Countess Lea Harcourt, Virgin Priestess of the Sea Grail. An astonishing mummery indeed, which might well have aroused local suspicion.
Gradually things began to leak out of Cefalu, and one of the consequences was, after our Articles had reached Italy, a raid by the local police. The Abbey was searched for opium and other drugs, but the search was unsuccessful. Crowley was rather pleased. He was able to point out to his followers how easily he had duped the police, and the seances were renewed with every circumstance of blasphemous indecency.
The Italian police, the American police, and the British police have all dossiers concerning this man. Obviously it is a case for concerted and drastic international action. This creature is an enemy of mankind, and should be dealt with accordingly.
If there is no other way of dealing with him as an undesirable, he could be made amenable for his treasonable attacks upon the King of England. We do not propose to reproduce his obscene - sneers. It is sufficient to say that they are on record and in print, and will justify the police of this country in being at least as active and determined to vindicate public decency as the police of Italy.

93 A Thelema Primer

93 A Thelema Primer Cover While visiting Egypt, Crowley saw a vision of the god Thoth, who dictated to him The Book of the Law. This is the basic creed of Thelema. So what does 93 mean? It doesn’t mean that you should just go out and “do what you want”. You first have to find your True Will, i.e. what you were put on this earth to do. In Liber OZ, Crowley hammers home the importance of this by saying that “man has a right to kill those who would thwart [his will]”, even though it really isn’t a good idea to go out and kill people. That’s where “love is the law, love under will” comes in. People should have compassion and respect each other and, of course, each other’s wills. That means no slavery, no murder, no child abuse, and equal rights for all. Growing up in a misogynistic and racially biased society, Crowley unfortunately absorbed the values of his time and did not live as an ideal Thelemite. However, his ideas show that he tried to break free of society’s biases, at least intellectually.

The Great Work, or main mission, of the Thelemite is to attain the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel, also known as the Higher Self, who will lead one to realize his or her True Will. This can be achieved by doing magickal rituals like Liber Samekh, meditating, and living in accordance with the Law of Thelema.

Crowley uses the spelling “magick” instead of “magic”, because he wants to differentiate Thelema’s ritual practices from stage magic. “Magick” is the process of discovering one’s true will and of causing change in conformity with that will. There is a results magic and spellcraft component to Thelemic magick, but it is based around the goal of realizing one’s will.

There are quite a few philosophical as well as ritual similarities between Thelema and Wicca, due to the spread of ideas in English occult subcultures as well as the Campbellian universality of archetypes, among other things. The wiccan Rede is “an it harm none, do as ye wilt”, which also stresses the importance of will. Thelemic god-figures are cognate with Wiccan ones; Hadit is the God and Nuit is the Goddess. Ra-Hoor-Khuit represents the individual Will, born of these opposing forces. Indeed, Thelema as well as Wicca recognizes that everyone’s soul has both masculine and feminine aspects. Thelema, being a part of the Western occult tradition, uses the Aristotelian elements, the watchtowers, and many of the same correspondences as does Wicca. Crowley actually wrote one of the earliest comprehensive tables of correspondences, called Liber 777. It is an excellent reference that shows the unity between Hindu and Buddhist, Egyptian, European occult, Jewish and Islamic spirits, herb usages, and much more. I suggest that my readers acquire a copy of 777 and supplement it with modern correspondence books that also contain information on traditions that Crowley did not research.

The most popular Thelemic group is the O.T.O., the Ordo Templi Orientis, of which Crowley used to be the leader. Although I am not a member of a group, I do believe that being involved with a group can be a valuable experience. They hold workshops, rituals, and the Gnostic Mass, which is a weekly Thelemic service that is a good alternative to a Christian Mass.

So how do you being applying Thelema to your life? Through meditation and the practice of Thelemic ceremonial magick. Thelema, being more of a mystical tradition tends to be heavy on invocation and cleansing rituals, rather than results rituals as in Chaos Magic. I will leave you with a basic rite that can be used as a part of spellcraft as well as Thelemic devotion. It is a Thelemic adaptation of the Kabbalistic Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, and uses the Greek language as a testament to the Hellenic influence on Thelema.

He Will Kill The Devil

He Will Kill The Devil Image
Dr. Frank posted a comment and asking the following question, "i once heard that the geeta has some verses mentioning the arrival of a messiah from the land-of-sands....is it true? Does the Gita really signals the forthcoming of Muhammad (peace)?"

"Actually Hindu scriptures contains a number of Prophecy about coming of Muhammad, the Last Messenger (never the less, Jesus will have second coming before the Judgement Day, but Jesus is not the last Prophet because his Prophetic mission dated before that of Muhammad). The scripture that contains those great prophecies are BHAVISHYA PURANA, ATHARVAVEDA, RIGVEDA and SAMVEDA.

For example, According to BHAVISHYA PURANA IN THE PRATI SARAG PARV III KHAND 3 ADHAY 3 SHLOKA 5 TO 8:: "A malecha (belonging to a foreign country and speaking a foreign language) spiritual teacher will appear with his companions. His name will be Mohammad. Raja (Bhoj) after giving this Maha Dev Arab (of angelic disposition) a bath in the Panchgavya and the Ganga water (i.e. purifying him of all sins) offered him the present of his sincere devotion and showing him all reverence said, "I make obeisance to thee. O ye! The pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from the malecha opponents."

The Prophecy clearly states: The name of the Prophet as Mohammad.

> He will belong to Arabia. The Sanskrit word "Marusthal "means a sandy track of land or a desert.

> Special mention is made of the companions of the Prophet, i.e. the Sahabas. No other Prophet had as many companions as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

> He is referred as the pride of mankind ("Parbatis nath"). The Glorious Qur'an reconfirms this, "AND THOU (STANDEST) ON AN EXALTED STANDARD OF CHARACTER" [The Qur'an 68:4], "YE HAVE INDEED IN THE MESSENGER OF GOD, A BEAUTIFUL PATTERN (OF CONDUCT)". [The Qur'an 33:21]

> He will kill the devil, i.e. abolish idol worship and all sorts of vices.

> The Prophet will be given protection against his enemy.

Gods Dr Sallcelestials Exopolitics Or Exoreligion

Gods Dr Sallcelestials Exopolitics Or Exoreligion Image
If Dr. Salla's is right and his research on "celestials" is accurate, then the idea of Exopolitics must be totally reconsidered.

Salla tells us that those he call "celestials" have had a fundamental role in human history. More important, these entities are far more advanced that Humans and Aliens.

Michael implies that the contact with Aliens requires the participation of the "celestials".

Consequently, the whole idea of Galactic Diplomacy collapses.

Exopolitics becomes Exoreligion.

We all depend on these "celestials ".

http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2009/01/16/03045.html

Dr. Salla writes:

"IN CONTRAST TO EXTRATERRESTRIALS, THESE BEINGS DO NOT APPEAR TO BE DEPENDENT ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR COMMUNICATION AND TRAVEL." and "APPARENT "CELESTIALS" ARE ABLE TO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE THROUGH WILLPOWER ALONE AND ARE NOT CONFINED TO ANY PHYSICAL LOCATION. THIS HIGHLY ADVANCED ABILITY DISTINGUISHES THEM FROM EXTRATERRESTRIAL ENTITIES THAT ARE DEPENDENT ON ADVANCED FORMS OF TECHNOLOGY FOR SPACE-TIME TRAVEL"

The obvious conclusion is that these super-human and super-alien Entities are...GODS.

"they have attained a level of oneness or 'cosmic consciousness' with the universe, and do not identify themselves exclusively with a stellar region, civilization, time or dimension."

"celestials are not limited to any one physical form, and can change their form at will to suit whatever circumstances they are in."

Of course, if this is so, we must also think that the "celestials" care not about human suffering. As the Aliens, they do not help us at all.

Exopolitics is only possible if Humans and Aliens are free races. This is not so if we accept the existence of the "celestials".

The best thing we can do is worship them. Consequently, we have a new Religion, not Diplomacy.

Let's go back to Polytheism.

Fraternally

How To Use Magick With A Straight Face 3 What Magick Is

How To Use Magick With A Straight Face 3 What Magick Is Cover
Magick is a way of using your Power. More technically, magick is the process of non-physically affecting your environment through messages consciously impressed on the subconscious with a system of symbols. (This will become clear later.) This is the broadest definition and it can include such things as prayer, meditation, chanting, positive thinking, subliminal tapes, programming and hypnotism.

Some think that magick is unnatural and evil. It is no more evil than any tool. A knife, for instance, is "good" or "evil" depending on its use. It can be invaluable in many beneficial projects, yet it can also harm. Nothing is immune to misuse. People even try to use prayer against others. Such potential is not a reason for fear, but for respect. The idea that magick is unnatural is a modern misconception. Magic has only recently come to mean Hollywood special effects or pulling rabbits from hats. It is often spelled magick in order to distinguish it from this new meaning. For millennia magick has been a path to enlightenment and self mastery or just plain getting what you want. It is nothing supernatural. Magick uses natural powers and the natural flow of the universe to bring about the changes you desire. We are so immersed in magick that, like still air, we are unaware of it. We all use this power without thought, like breathing. Magick is using these powers with awareness.

Magick involves placing a message of your choosing into your subconscious. This is all that is necessary to achieve any goal. The power of the subconscious is awesome. When you unite it with your conscious will, you can do anything you want. Remove the internal barriers and the external barriers melt away. Oriental philosophy would call this "following the Tao." Achieving this is the challenge of magick.

Hudson 50 The Second Pagan Chaplain

Hudson 50 The Second Pagan Chaplain Image

Pagan Chaplain Appointed at Syracuse University

"ABC News on Campus reporter Matt Markham blogs:"

Syracuse University has tapped Mary Hudson (at left) to be the school's first pagan chaplain.

That makes Hudson, 50, the second pagan chaplain appointed at a U.S. college. The only other known school to have a pagan chaplain is the University of Southern Maine. Internationally there are a few in Canada, Australia, and the UK.

But, what is a pagan? "It's not an easy word to define," said Rachel Ousley, a senior at Syracuse University and practicing pagan. "'Pagan' is basically an umbrella term meaning anyone who follows a polytheist religion, so you can have a whole load of religions or paths or faiths under that. Generally, pagans are polytheists that have more than one deity, or animal spirits, and they're also nature-based."

The pagan religion includes many different branches, such as Wicca and druidism.

There are 11 pagans registered with Syracuse University as of 2009.

"Now that we have the chaplaincy, we should get a little more support, and have our voices heard," said Jessica Mays, president of SPIRAL, the Student Pagan Information Relations and Learning group

at Syracuse.

Hudson said education is her primary goal. "This involves both education of non-pagans as well as helping student pagans find their spiritual path," she added. "That can mean something different to each student."

As chaplain, Hudson said she hopes to bring guest speakers to campus and catalogue resource information for students interested in understanding different aspects of paganism. But also, Hudson wants to "dispel the misinformation and fear that many people have about who and what pagans are."

She says some claim paganism isn't a "real" religion, but rather a sect that engages in magic, idolatry, and witchcraft.

Hudson worked in information technology at SU for about 10 years, and has been with SPIRAL for the last eight of them. After leaving her job with IT, she said she realized she had the qualifications to become a chaplain. "It was just the next natural step," said Hudson. She discussed it with the interim dean of Hendricks Chapel, the Dean of Student Affairs, and board members at the Church of the Greenwood, of which Hudson is a member.

Mays said that education is Hudson's strong suit. "She's good at that, and mentoring -- that's a big thing, especially working with a group of college students. That's a leap of faith."

Promoting diversity is another goal pagans and their chaplain hope to accomplish. "Hendricks Chapel is dedicated to continually recognizing the diverse world that we live in. In this case it happens to be diversity within religious belief. I also hope that it gives people (non-pagans) the ability to ask questions about a set of beliefs which they may have a very little information about," Hudson said. She said her door is always open to anyone who wants to stop by and just talk. "Conversation is the only way to create understanding," she said.

Mays praises the university for making the appointment, saying that "any step that's away from the mainstream is a step in diversity, and Mary's another resource for students, another person to be able to talk to on campus."

What Is Thelema

What Is Thelema Cover Thelema ("They-LEE-mah" or "They-LEH-mah") is a Greek word meaning "will" or "intention". It is also the name of a new spiritual philosophy which has arisen over the past several hundred years and is now gradually becoming established worldwide. One of the earliest mentions of this philosophy occurs in the classic Gargantua and Pantagruel written by Francois Rabelais in 1532. One episode of this epic adventure tells of the founding of an "Abbey of Thelema" as an institution for the cultivation of human virtues, which Rabelais identified as being squarely opposite the prevailing Christian proprieties of the time. The sole rule of the Abbey of Thelema was: "Do what thou wilt". This has become one of the basic tenets of Thelemic philosophy today. Although touched upon by various prominent visionary thinkers in the following few hundred years, the seeds of Thelema sown by Rabelais eventually came to fruition in the early part of this century when developed by an Englishman named Aleister Crowley. Crowley was a poet, author, mountaineer, magician, and member of the occult society known as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. In 1904, while traveling in Egypt with his wife Rose, Crowley became inextricably involved in a series of events which he claimed to inaugurate a new aeon of human evolution. These culminated in April when Crowley entered a state of trance and wrote down the three chapters of 220 verses which came to be called The Book of the Law (also known as Liber AL and Liber Legis). Among other things, this book declared: "The word of the law is Thelema" and "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law". Crowley spent the rest of his life developing the philosophy of Thelema as revealed by the Book of the Law. The result was a voluminous output of commentary and works relating to magick, mysticism, yoga, qabalah, and other occult subjects. Virtually all of this writing bears the influence of Thelema as interpreted and understood by Crowley in his capacity as prophet of the New Aeon. One theory holds that each chapter of the Book of the Law is associated with a particular aeon of human spiritual evolution. According to this view, Chapter One characterizes the Aeon of Isis, when the archetype of female divinity was paramount. Chapter Two relates to the Aeon of Osiris, when the archetype of the slain god became prominent, and the world’s patriarchal religions became established. Chapter Three heralds the dawning of a new aeon, the Aeon of Horus, the child of the Isis and Osiris. It is in this new aeon that the philosophy of Thelema will be fully revealed to humanity, and will become established as the primary paradigm for the spiritual evolution of the species. Some of the essential elements of belief in Thelema are:

"Every man and every woman is a star."
This is usually taken to mean that each individual is unique and has their own path in a spacious universe wherein they can move freely without collision.
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." and "thou hast no right but to do thy will."
Most Thelemites hold that every person possesses a True Will, a single overall motivation for their existence. The Law of Thelema mandates that each person follow their True Will to attain fulfillment in life and freedom from restriction of their nature. Because no two True Wills can be in real conflict (according to "Every man and every woman is a star"), this Law also prohibits one from interfering with the True Will of any other person. The notion of absolute freedom for an individual to follow his or her True Will is a cherished one among Thelemites. This philosophy also recognizes that the main task of an individual setting out on the path of Thelema is to first discover his or her True Will, giving methods of self-exploration such as magick great importance. Furthermore, every True Will is different, and because each person has a unique point-of-view of the universe, no one can determine the True Will for another person. Each person must arrive at the discovery for themselves.
"Love is the law, love under will."
This is an important corollary to the above, indicating that the essential nature of the Law of Thelema is that of Love. Each individual unites with his or her True Self in Love, and so empowered, the entire universe of conscious beings unites with every other being in Love.

Of course, with the emphasis on freedom and individuality inherent in Thelema, the beliefs of any given Thelemite are likely to differ from those of any other. In the Comment appended to The Book of the Law it is stated that: "All questions of the Law are to be decided only by appeal to my writings, each for himself." Although Thelema is sometimes referred to as a "religion", it accommodates the full range of individual beliefs, from atheism to polytheism. The important thing is that each person has the right to fulfill themselves through whatever beliefs and actions are best suited to them (so long as they do not interfere with the will of others), and only they themselves are qualified to determine what these are.

Love is the law, love under will.

The Age Of Aquarius

The Age Of Aquarius Image
The New Scripture: In a Cairo hotel room in 1904, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) received the scripture of the new aeon from the messenger of Horus, a spirit calling itself Aiwass. Now whether we believe Crowley or not, the observations he made concerning the period into which humanity was impelled by this event demand attention, given the context of rapid and catastrophic change that has since engulfed us. This event is synchronised with the transition of the Vernal Equinox from the sign of Pisces, to that of Aquarius, which is an astronomical phenomenon driven by the 'wobble' of the Earth's axis of spin. So let us first examine a little more closely the root idea of astrologically determined aeons.

Nature and Astrology: As is so often the case, the occult viewpoint derives from careful, long-term observation of the natural world. In this case, the ancients observed that the vernal equinox (or Spring Equinox, or March Equinox), the day upon which day and night are of equal duration in the transition from winter to summer, was marked by a very slow movement of the background constellations into which the sun rises each morning.

To understand this, picture the constellations as a ring of star-pictures in the sky and imagine yourself standing in the centre. Now think of the sun rising into the sky each day into one of these constellations. It's that simple. Now imagine that over a very long period of time, hundreds of years at least, the circle of star-pictures appears to rotate, so that the Sun gradually rises first in one constellation and then transits to the next and so on. Dividing the sky into twelve constellations, each of thirty degrees, the sun takes just over two thousand years to travel across each constellation. Of course, the ancients had no idea of stellar distance, and so they accepted the apparent movement of the heavens as very real. We know now though, that this apparent movement is caused by the Earth 'wobbling' on its axis of rotation, with each circular 'wobble' taking some 25,800 years. We call the apparent motion of the constellations the Precession of the Equinoxes. This then is the root idea of the Age of Aquarius, the two thousand year period during which the Sun will rise in the constellation of Aquarius at each spring solstice. Aleister Crowley coined the expression The Equinox of the Gods, and purported that the global consciousness, indeed, the universal conciousness within which we exist is transformed as we transit each 2,000 year period. Crowley seems never to have specifically tied the Equinox of the Gods to the Astrological transition between star groupings; maybe he thought this too obvious, or possibly he dismissed the idea. We will examine the possibilities and form our own conclusions.

The Metaphysics and Empirical Evidence: Astrologists are of the opinion that the configuration of the sky determines and/or influences every event on Earth. The metaphysical basis for this seems a little thin, and so occultists in general rely on empirically generated evidence. Before we consider the character of Aquarius, we should then consider the evidence for the nature previous aeon, the Age of Pisces, the sign of The Fish. What myths, legends and attributes may we attach to that age? We are well aware that the sign of the fish is strongly associated with Christ, the Dying God. This figure is also represented by Odin and Osiris who also were slain and rose again (both figures long pre-dating Christ of course). All three are avatars of the Sun God who dies each night and rises in glory on the morn. More generally, Pisces is considered a sign of rebirth. So how do we identify Pisces with the patriarchal nature of the aeon gone by? One really has to go no further than to examine the suppression of the female principle by the major religions of the Piscean aeon- Christianity, Islam and (to some extent) Judaism. So we can definitely mark the Piscean age as patriarchal and collectivised; an age within which the female principle as well as the aspirations of individuals were suppressed in favor of the mass.

The new Aeon of Horus: The Age of Pisces is past and we now sit amid the earliest days of the Age of Aquarius. But is this Aquarian age synonymous with Crowley's new aeon? There's some dispute over this, as some astrologers aver that the Aquarian Age is still some three hundred years off, whilst others claim that the Piscean influence is so diminished that the growing power of Aquarius already dominates. To this writer, it seems unlikely that the synchronicity apparent in the precessional zodiacal movement and the revelation of the new scripture can be mere coincidence. And so we will consider the metaphysics of Aquarius and hold up what we know so far against Crowley's prophecies.

Catastrophe: In Magick, Aleister Crowley states that: "There is a Magical Operation of maximum importance: the Initiation of a New Aeon. When it becomes necessary to utter a Word, the whole Planet must be bathed in blood. Before man is ready to accept the Law of Thelema, the Great War must be fought. This Bloody Sacrifice is the critical point of the World-Ceremony of the Proclamation of Horus, the Crowned and Conquering Child, as Lord of the Aeon". Crowley claims this excerpt was written in 1911, a mere three years prior to the outbreak of the 'war to end all wars'. Adding to this, we need to examine Crowley's comment on Liber Al: "...we suppress the individual in more and more ways. We think in terms of the herd. War no longer kills soldiers; it kills all indiscriminately. Every new measure of the most democratic and autocratic governments is communist in essence.......yet the world only moves by the light of genius. The herd will be destroyed in mass.......the strange modifications of the reproductive instinct with a tendency to become or epicene, the childlike confidence in progress combined with the nightmare fear of catastrophe... Does all of this sound familiar? Given that Crowley wrote his two main commentaries in 1911 and 1925, these ideas seem to comprise an altogether remarkable set of prophecies. And so the first stage of the new aeon is determined to be catastrophic in nature, washing away the collectivised mindset of the old aeon and its basis of sacrifice for the mass (a Christian idea rooted in the myths of the Dying God). Of the four primary tenets of Crowley's scripture, Every man and woman is a star strikes the strongest chord in our emerging social dispensation...

Every man and Woman is a Star: This line from Liber Al vel Legis, asserts that in this new aeon, every human being is on his/her own trajectory and essentially establishes the latest aeon as that of the individual. Could it be that just as the developing world is throwing off the shackles of tyranny, so too the citizens of the west will free themselves from the corruption of mob rule called democracy? Certainly, the technological empowerment of gifted individuals permits them to work where they will and circumvent the theft of their income by the elected representatives of the mob. Facilitating this, access to information has never, despite continuing government efforts to curtail it, been so unrestricted, further empowering individuals. But where governments cannot restrict access, they poison the pool with lies and propaganda, behaving just as they always have, but this time we clearly see the death throws of a dying beast resisting the inevitable dawn of lib. On the other hand, as Crowley both observed and prophesied, the mass of the people have sunk to the nadir of moral degeneracy and expect 'government' to provide for living standards above those to which, in many instances, their abilities and efforts entitle them; this is called socialism. And yet, socialism is dying, as evidenced by the fact that the distribution of its largesse has contributed strongly to the economic demise of the west which has been living on borrowed money for decades. The same may be said of American democracy, by which means the government has been empowered to bomb its enemies into American bankruptcy. How amusing to see the capitalist west go cap in hand to communist China for its financial salvation. Remember these words well - we are at the point of collapse of big government. The injection of staggering amounts of money into failing industries is not an attempt to save jobs so much as it is an attempt to save democracy - and it will fail. I suspect that the Chinese know this. What follows will be a dark age of the world during which the herd instincts of the mass will surely cause its final demise as the Law of Horus takes hold. But are these observations in accordance with the characteristics of Aqauarius as we understand them?

The Characteristics of Aquarius: Strange to say, Aquarius is, in the achemical sense, an Air Sign. Now in alchemy, Air is the result of the conjunction of Fire and Water (Crowley - The Book of Thoth). The two preceding aeons were Pisces (Water) and Aries (Fire): so far so good - the attribution at least complies with the concept of the birth of the current aeon being the issue of the previous two, of the conjoining of Osiris and Isis. Let us turn then to the Tarot significance of the archetype of Air as represented by the Ace of Swords: On the Qabalistic Tree of Life, the Aces sit on the Sephirah (Emanation) Keter, which represents the tremendous, explosive but sustained force of eternity breaking forth into our universe. Keter precedes the framework of Natural Law (Binah) entering the universe and is thus without conscience, reference or restriction - it merely is. Of course, as time proceeds, the archetype degenerates from the ideal to a force bounded by law, and then to a finite energy that is absorbed by the universe and spent. For those with some Qabalah, Crowley's Book of Thoth enlarges further on this process. Further reinforcing this idea of Air as the primal force driving the new aeon is the fact that Air is attributed to Mercury and is thus the Word of the Logos (Crowley - The Book of Thoth). But Air also indicates great intellectual vigor and thus division, as the standard bearers of new ideas discard the dross of the past and move forwards into the future, leaving behind the maxims and constraints of yesteryear. Given the fact that most people are not given to thought as a consequence of the general 'dumbing down' of the population we have witnessed these past thirty years, it would seem that a minority of individuals will shine like stars whilst the mob perishes in the vomit of its own communistic ignorance and sloth.

Conclusion: The new aeon is upon us as witnessed by war, economic catastrophe and the ever more discordant wailing of the mob. This is no new aeon of 'peace and understanding', but rather an age in which those of intellectual and physical vigor will cast off the shackles imposed by the collective. The pendulum of time has overreached its trajectory in the direction of domination of the masses. Just as capital now leaves any country in micro-seconds if it dislikes the political regime, so too will individuals. At long last we will discard the lies of race and nation, of politics and religion. Truly, individuals will shine in this new aeon as they cast aside their masks and reveal their true glory. As Aiwass beseeched us: Trample down the heathen; be upon them o warrior...Mercy be off: damn them who pity!

True Will Must Be Discovered

True Will Must Be Discovered Cover Crowley, like most spiritual teachers, recognized that one's Will is generally buried beneath a thick layer of what can be called Individual Ego—the conscious sense of "I" that feels separate from the Universe and is a complex mix of beliefs, values, and norms derived from socialization and various life experiences. A Thelemite is therefore one who seeks to break through her "conscious programming" in order to reconnect with the secret self, thereby becoming aware of her true, unfiltered nature. This process is called the Great Work.

The techniques used to accomplish this difficult task fall under the general term Magick, and traditionally include practices such as yoga, invocational ritual, and astral body work. In more recent years, Thelemites have been starting to include other, non-"occult" methods to accomplish the Great Work, such as transpersonal psychotherapy, hypnosis, and isolation tanks. In the end, it is up to the individual to find the doorway to her own inner self.
